Education and Background
Jonathan C. Rosen went to college at San Diego State and CSUN and received his law degree at Southwestern. During his third year of law school, Jonathan did a Certified Clerkship at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. As a certified clerk, Jonathan was able to argue preliminary hearings before his graduation from law school. He performed more than 50 preliminary hearings during that clerkship.
Jonathan has been practicing law since 2000, working for two well-known and highly regarded criminal defense attorneys before opening his solo practice. He has represented defendants in virtually every type of criminal case, from petty theft to murder, from arraignment through appeal.

One particular victory that stands out is a case that involved a two-striker who was facing 25 years to life in prison. Attorney Jonathan C. Rosen was able to have his client's charges dropped because of his persistent efforts in filing an appeal after a judge in Lancaster refused to suppress evidence that had been illegally seized by law enforcement. Attorney Rosen appealed the decision, ultimately resulting in a reversal of the judge's initial denial. The charges against his client were subsequently dropped.
